OUR STORY
The idea of Camp Tteok originated by our Camp Director VcToryann Green. During the pursuit of her teaching certificate and degree. Ms. G, as she is called by her students, saw the absence of foreign language initiatives in Black and Hispanic-dominated schools. As a scholar who benefited immensely from learning a second language Ms. G wanted to create a program in South Fulton that encouraged the next generation to look outside the boundaries of the U.S. and their local communities. Camp Tteok stands to be the only language-focused program in the area. That strives for their attendees to learn about different cultures, people, and practices through second language acquisition.
MISSION
Cultivate global citizenship and multicultural understanding by educating our students through a culturally relevant and communicative curriculum. In a creative and fun environment for students, staff, and parents.
VISION
To provide South Fulton with a multicultural epicenter that allows students, families, and community members to come together. And share their different backgrounds in a safe and educational environment.
BELIEFS & VALUES
We believe that any student from any socioeconomic, ethnic, national, or racial background deserves to be a global citizen. They deserve to see themselves outside of American systems. And deserve to learn about the thousands of cultures, languages, people, and countries the world has to offer.
